Topics include mare lines and why female lineage matters, stallion limits and their role in controlling genetic drift, registry structure, and the long-term responsibility required when working with a rare breed. The emphasis is not on theory, but on how these systems function in real life and what happens when they are ignored.
The session is discussion-based and grounded in lived practice. We use the horses themselves as reference points while talking through breeding decisions, genetic risk, and the consequences of short-term thinking.
This is not a lecture and not an introduction-level overview. It is designed for people who want to understand the mechanics of preservation and are considering long-term involvement rather than casual interest.
Group size is limited and participation requires commitment.
