Norwegian Dole Horse Breeding | A Rare Draft Legacy
We are a small-scale breeding farm, devoted to one of the rarest draft breeds in the world: the Norwegian Dole horse. With their feathered legs, thick manes, and calm presence, these powerful cold-blooded horses are as striking as they are steady. Known for their gentle temperament and versatility, the Dole is nearly unknown in the U.S., but unforgettable once you meet one.
We breed the traditional way: carefully selecting stallions and mares each spring and letting them spend the summer together in genuine pasture partnership. Itās slow, natural, and deeply rooted in Norwegian customāa rhythm that honors the breed, not the market.
Because we breed with intention, our foals are few and often spoken for before birth. If youāre looking for something rare, grounded, and meaningful to be part of, you might just fall in love here.

Lundes Storm

Storm is the kind of stallion that immediately puts people at ease. Calm, steady, and impressively grounded, heās what we lovingly call ābomb-proof.ā Whether heās working around children,
well behaved around mares, or simply being handled day-to-dayāhis manners never waver. Heās soft without being dull, sweet without being passive, and stable in a way that makes you exhale.
If youāre looking for predictability in temperament without compromising on beauty or presence, Storm delivers. With abundant feathering, a thick mane, and a conformation thatās true to the Dole standard, heās as striking as he is trustworthy. And with a lifetime breeding license behind his name, his quality speaks for itselfāon paper and in person.
