Preservation Breeding in the United States

Rooted in one of the world’s most structured preservation breeding systems, developed around the long-term management of a small national horse population.

Unlike many modern breeding programs focused mainly on production or specialization, the Norwegian Dole horse breeding system is built around long-term population management, preservation, and national breeding oversight. Our program follows this structure closely through licensed stallions, formal evaluations, genetic planning, and a strong focus on temperament, soundness, and long-term usability.

  • Horses are sold directly through The Norwegian Stables, while transportation and import-related costs are billed separately through the professional shipping and import partners involved in the process.

    We coordinate and oversee the process from Norway through arrival in the United States, helping keep the experience as clear and straightforward as possible for buyers.
